Fontana Development Company is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and is in the process of obtaining LEED certification for its current residential projects. A member of the Fontana Development Company staff is becoming a LEED Accredited Professional. The following is a description of the LEED Green Building Rating System. LEED was created to:

ENERGY-10
Fontana Development Company utilizes the ENERGY-10  program developed by the US Department of Energy for use in modeling energy-saving features that can be incorporated into new construction and renovations. ENERGY-10™ software analyzes—and illustrates—the energy and cost savings that can be achieved by applying up to a dozen sustainable design strategies. Hour-by-hour energy simulations quantify, assess, and clearly depict the benefits of:
